Alliance for Fertility Preservation | https://www.allianceforfertilitypreservation.org/ | The Alliance for Fertility Preservation is a 501c3 charitable organization. The Alliance is made up of a team of professionals who have come together to advance the field of fertility preservation. Our members are recognized leaders with expertise in all aspects of fertility preservation including, oncology, reproductive endocrinology, urology, psychology, oncology nursing, and reproductive law. Our focus is fertility preservation for cancer patients. We understand how overwhelming a diagnosis of cancer can be. So many aspects of an individual’s life are altered the moment they hear those words, “You have cancer.” And while many organizations address various facets of cancer and cancer treatment, we have chosen to help alleviate one of the most distressing, life-altering consequences of cancer treatment – infertility.

Baby Quest Foundation | https://babyquestfoundation.org/ | Baby Quest was born from one young woman’s struggles to have a child. However, her story is far from unique. It is a story shared by one in eight women—most of whom never dreamt that having a baby would be so difficult. With the high costs of assisted reproduction, a solution to infertility is often out of reach, allowing financial need to prevent many from becoming parents. It is not easy to battle the demon of infertility. Those affected are up against insurance companies that refuse to cover the costs of physicians, labs, and medications. There are military veterans – even those injured in battle – who have been denied coverage. Many cancer survivors, robbed of fertility because of chemotherapy, cannot receive insurance benefits for fertility. Beyond the emotional and physical despair brought on by infertility, there is the impact of not being able to afford treatment.

Expecting Miracles Foundation | https://expectmiraclesfoundation.org/samfund/ | Expect Miracles Foundation’s SAMFund provides critical financial resources to young adult cancer survivors twice a year through grants in two categories: Financial Assistance Grants and Family Building Grants. SAMFund grants were first awarded in 2005 in response to the higher rates of financial toxicity among young adult survivors compared to other age groups and the lack of dedicated resources specifically for this population. In 2019, SAMFund grants became a program of the Expect Miracles Foundation. In total, 2,600 grants totaling nearly $4.5 million dollars have been awarded to young adults as they recover from the financial impact of cancer.
